Ending Preventable Deaths

Suicide Prevention

Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the United States[X]. This is not okay. Providing support, having easy access to resources, destigmatizing mental illness, and education can play a vital role in reducing suicide rates.

Distracted Driving

Each year, thousands of people are killed due to distracted driving. Teens and young adults have the highest proportion of fatal distracted crashes[X]. By engaging students and education, we can reduce the amount of distracted driving.

Substance Abuse

From 2010 to 2013, the rate of heroin related deaths has nearly tripled[X]. By providing resources for individuals struggling with addiction and educating the public, we can reduce the amount of overdoses and deaths.

Domestic Violence

Nearly 50% of murder victims in Colorado were killed by an intimate partner [X]. Resources need to become more accessible to victims. Education on healthy relationships can also help reduce domestic violence.
