About one half of all victims of homicide are killed by an indimate partner. Furthermore, 1/3 women will be in an abusive relationship during her lifetime. These statistics are absolutely unacceptable and must stop.
It is also important to note that women are not the only individuals that can be in an abusive relationship.
Many individuals in an abusive relationship do not have access to find resources on a phone or on a computer. This is because the abuser can often times control the victims availability to said resources. It is important that we have accessibility to escape an abusive relationship in public places. This can increase the likelihood victims can safely escape their abuser.
Domestic violence dramatically drops with education on healthy relationships. It's important to teach our children at a young age on what a healthy relationship is. This can not only improve romantic relationships, but also friendships, work-relationships, and social problem solving.
